Why? What’s the big deal? Well, they have good give-away gifts. I mean, of course you should go to learn more about all the things that CBMT does because it’s not all about keeping track of the board certification test. Sometimes I think that AMTA is the only professional group that we have and that’s simply not true. So, please go to their booth and let them show you everything they do for us and the field of music therapy.
And, since you’re there… grab some freebies! They give out tons of post-it notes. I’ve been living off of my CBMT post-its for the past 4 years. My good music therapist friend, Carolyn Dachinger, can verify this. (BTW, she’s going to be doing these great presentations dealing with collaborating with art, dance and drama therapists for pediatric programming.)
But, I just learned that not only does CBMT give out post-its, but they also give out magical pens! Meryl Brown tells me that she swears by them, they’re the only ones she’ll use. Not only that, but Jennifer Sokira tells me that her son does his best handwriting with the CBMT pens. That’s. just. crazy!
So, are there any other places to hit up at conference for free swag?
